Sample animations:
(Note that given the secondary length of these animations, they're most likely not going to loop perfectly in your browser. You can just right click and save them and play them in MPC if you really need to see my animations before downloading the whole pack.)

It's nice to see you try out the WebM format, but did you have to reduce the color depth, cause they look 16-bit.
ReplyDeleteIt was a test upload. I wanted the files really small. You're welcome to take any of my swfs and convert them to webm if you want. For your personal use or to upload. If you upload them all I ask is you credit me as the one who ripped them.
ReplyDeleteReducing the color depth won't make THAT much of difference in file size, especially these days. Have you ever tried encoding one of your animations in both f4v (Adobe's HD video codec) and flv? I ran a few trials myself in Adobe Media Encoder, and the file size difference between the two was almost negligible (a few bytes of difference) when i encoded the same animation (for one of my rips).
ReplyDeleteConverting them to swf doesn't change anything so no I haven't done any of that. I'll look into it if I do decide to use webm more. Just using swf is what's easiest for me right now until there's a fast and streamlined way to do webm, and so far I haven't found a converter that is.
ReplyDeleteJust because there's a command prompt involved doesn't mean its difficult. Follow this guide here on NeoGAF (you can skip the first two steps). Just make sure your avi file is in the same folder as the FFmpeg program (the bin folder). If you encounter any problems then use the 32-bit version. One last note: enable copy and pasting in the command prompt to save yourself the frustration of typing out the same command over and over.
ReplyDeleteAnother note: don't input 9k bitrate as the bitrate. Anything below 3k should be okay. I used 1600 for my Resort Boin rip on my blog, and it looks identical to the source.
